Susan Shultz, director of sales for American Cruise Line, has been elected to the executive committee of the Niche Cruise Marketing Alliance (NCMA). Shultz replaces Jeff Krida, president of
Cruise West, who was one of the founding members of NCMA and has been a strong proponent of travel agent education. Each seat on the executive committee is for a three-year term with one seat expiring every year. Other members of the executive committee include Ron Santangelo, president of Peter Deilmann Cruises, and Larry Haugh, vice-president of Star Clippers. The committee is responsible for all day-to-day corporate operating decisions of the organization. The Niche Cruise Marketing Alliance is an association of 13 cruise lines that have banded together to educate travel agents on specialty cruise products.
