NCL's Norwegian Epic Sets Third Straight Booking Record

Norwegian Cruise Line’s new Norwegian Epic set its third consecutive record-breaking booking week for the week ending July 17. Booking volume was up more than 50 percent from the previous two record-breaking weeks for the weeks ending July 3 and July 10.

To celebrate Norwegian Epic’s christening and inaugural season, the line launched several promotions including “Hello Balcony,” offering guests a complimentary balcony upgrade when booking an ocean-view stateroom. The promotion is valid for new reservations booked by Aug. 1 and includes select sailings fleet-wide. In addition, guests also receive half-off standard cruise deposits and up to $150 in onboard credit per stateroom for new Norwegian Epic reservations.

The 153,000-tons, 4,100-passenger Norwegian Epic was christened by country singer Reba McEntire on July 2 in a ceremony hosted by “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star and comedian Jeff Garlin.

Norwegian Epic sails alternating seven-day Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises itineraries every Saturday from Miami through April. Eastern Caribbean sailings stop in St. Thomas, St. Maarten and Nassau. On Western Caribbean sailings, Norwegian Epic visits Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico, and Roatan, Honduras.
